GULF SHORES (USA)- Worldwide we are concerned about the massive killing of sharks, and endangering these apex predators more and more. At the Gulf Coast of Alabama, southern USA, they are frustrated of not being able to kill sharks.
This remarkable news was shared by WKRG, quoting fishermen complaining about not being able to bring sharks they catch onto the deck of the pier. This is banned by law.
Earlier this year the state conducted a survey to try and find a solution. The results of the survey are not ready yet and in the meantime, the shark population seems to grow.
Several suggestions have been made concerning the sharks including removing cleaning tables from the pier and setting aside a season for shark fishing like they do with alligators. But for now, anglers will have to deal with it the best they can.
